Water Hyacinth is durable and it can be vacuumed or simply brushed to remove dust and dirt.

For major spills please follow the below instructions:

Step 1 – Remove all upholstery.
Step 2 – Remove any surface spillage with a sponge or paper towel.
Step 3 – Wash the area if required using a mild soap, lukewarm water and a soft cloth.
Step 4 – A nylon brush (such as a dry washing up brush) can be used to remove dried food or mud etc.
Step 5 – Paint thinner can be used to remove tougher stains – but do test on an inconspicuous area first.
Step 6 – Place the furniture outside or in a well ventilated room to dry thoroughly.

Please note it is important that the furniture is dried thoroughly and must not remain damp for any length of time as this will result in the subsequent deterioration of the product.

Water Hyacinth is a natural untreated handmade product and will react to different levels of heat and humidity. Direct sunlight is often harmful to all types of furniture over very long periods of time. Avoid placing any furniture near a heat or damp source as the likelihood of damaging it is obviously increased. Central heating and seasonal changes can change the atmosphere where the furniture is situated so due consideration to the situation of your furniture is the first step in caring for it, thus ensuring its longevity. This will allow you to enjoy yourWater Hyacinth furniture for many years to come.

Water Hyacinth is a natural hand dyed material. Colour and size variations are part of it’s beauty. Chocolate and Charcoal coloured Water Hyacinth is a stained natural product and colours may vary.

The standard 100% cotton cushion covers can be removed for cleaning on a 30 degree wash or alternatively dry cleaned.
